| Called in prior to a visit to see the pantomime in the theatre next door. Very busy to say the least. One down side was the visit to the toilets. Is it common practice for two men to use the "sit down" cubicles at the same time? It was suggested that afterwards that they go in there testing white powder! TalbotHill - 15 Dec 2018 11:20 |

| Due to have a major refurb before Summer '12 - it has it's charms and the staff are always friendly and up for a chat. As long as it doesn't loose some of it's charms after being refurbished I will still continue to love and enjoy this pub. Ian.S - 21 Feb 2012 17:06 |
| Large pub right on the city centre next to the Hippodrome. It could and should be a prime spot, but successive owners seem to have failed to capitalise on it. I can�t comment too much as when trying to get a drink at 10:45 I was told that they were no longer serving. I looked surprised and checked my watch to be told they closed at 11:00, so promptly left.
