| Probably the best of the 3 pubs we sampled in the centre of Penrith. This pub had several customers who were clearly regulars. Arriving shortly before last orders, you can often get a frosty welcome in many pubs. But the welcome here was an exception and was very friendly. | Good Beer Guide listed pub down a small street in the centre of Penrith. Always has a good range of ales on, usually at least one from a micro brewery. Always been well kept when I've been in as well. Can get very busy at times. I'm not too impressed with the food it's all a bit fried for me, but the beer is good. ROBCamra - 22 Dec 2008 14:48 |
