As good as my previous visit, a Thursday this time, but quiet. Beer selection was good, food was good and no delays. Will use on future visits. ellisref - 19 Nov 2015 20:54 |
This is a JDW pub located in part of an old British Waterways building alongside the Nottingham Canal, but it faces fierce competition from the several other nearby pubs. I usually choose to drink here because as well as the usual JDW mainstream offerings, there is a good choice of reasonably priced, well kept other real ales. I cannot fault the Purity Pure Gold at £1.95 a pint when I called here on Thursday and although there was the inevitable delay in being served, full credit to the barman for apologising for keeping me waiting. steve2905 - 24 Jan 2015 02:34 |
Did the job for me, ok it was a Monday night about 7pm. Good Ale selection and food came quickly. ellisref - 7 Oct 2014 21:18 |
DATE OF VISIT: 11/09/10 Fairly standard Lloyds bar that's split on two levels. Quite a good range of beers as you'd expect from a Wetherspoons. Interior quite nice with sofas and large screen TVs showing SKY Sports. It can get very busy especially on match days when Forest are playing at home but I'm pleased to say they did have a lot of people serving so I didn't have to wait too long and there was a few door security too. I did feel though the staff are were a little eager to get you to drink and eat your food as quickly as possible so as to get the next lot of people on tables so there was a feeling of being on a conveyor belt in terms of experiencing this place. All in all, not too bad a place to visit. 7/10. wezmiester - 16 Sep 2010 18:29 |
The Company Inn is one of the better Lloyds No 1's I've been in. Has a better choice of the real stuff than most. It's still quite smartly done out as well. Had a pint of the Nottingham bitter which was pretty good. I tend to be in Nottigham in midweek and this place is always reasonably busy. I have always got served pretty easily as well, which is a new experience for a Wetherspoons. ROBCamra - 8 Dec 2008 16:14 |
