This place doesn't exist anymore. It's been sold and completely refurbed into a reasonably nice restaurant called the Town house. wyli - 28 Jul 2006 14:46 |
we played there quite a while ago. it was a cool. i dont know about it when there isnt music on cause I hear the Barry's take over but when we were there, it wasnt too full and it was great! Would go again but not if the Barry's get their first! jim - 9 Jan 2004 12:13 |

Unfortunately in my experience this establishment is small, unpleasant, and populated by fifteen year olds. I would recommend taking a chisel so that you can seperate your shoes from the floor where they will inevitably become stuck (it is possible that they delibarately spill drinks on it to add to the Bar Co experience, or something). Nowhere to sit down, slow service at the bar, sexually discriminatory entrance charges, a poor selection of music and the certainty of smelling smoke in your clothes for the next six months are all good reasons not to visit this place. It certainly does get packed on Friday nights, to the extent that you can hardly move for rowdies. I don't mean to be too harsh: this is an alright place to go if a lot of your friends will be there, but otherwise give it a miss and go to one of several far superior pubs and bars in Solihull. Bar Co is, unfortunately, not a good place. It is essentially a pub attempting to be a club and fails miserabley. The music is piss-poor, the place is tiny and the drinks range is not great. One to avoid. NJT - 15 Sep 2003 23:10 |
