| Butcombe and Hancocks bitters available, and both were in good nick. I can confirm the friendly welcome from the landlady, who has a good sense of humour, indeed she's quite a bubbly personality. | On entering the pub we were seen to immediately by a friendly lady who confirmed our booking and who provided us with menus upon which were a good range of meals. The meals arrived in a more than reasonable time and were like us oldies say, were like the home cooked food you used to get in pubs. The same with the desserts, as for the portions I did say to the waitress ' when I asked for gammon I didn't expect half a pig'. Couldn't try the ales as I was driving but will next time as there was a good range of them.
