I went in recently and have to say that the beer range was not that interesting and the locals were not that friendly. Make sure you get in the pub before 11 as even though it is open until 12 they do not like serving people who do not get into the pub in reasonable time. This is a shame as there are not pubs which are actually open past 11 in Kenilworth anyway.

Called in after a break of many years. Still a pleasant enough local now enhanced by a very decent beer range. Friendly atmosphere and a good choice if you fancy a bit of a sesh.

Kenilworth seems to have an exceptional supply of proper real ale locals dottings its back streets; this one is very friendly and the beer range is sensible; I've had better Black Sheep but it was decent enough. The Chinese takeaway in the old High Street is fantastic by the way.

The Engine is a nice place, Old fashioned local. It has a central bar with plenty of seating all the way round. Watch your head when walking through the door as the door frame is quite low. Beers were not the most exciting on my visit, Wickwar 'Long John Silver', Hook Norton 'Old Hooky', Spitfire and Brew XI. The was also a Chalk Board that stated that Summer Lightning and Batemans XXXB to be on soon.

Typical local but busy centre for the locals. Nice atmosphere.
