| the george has re opened on the 1st feb 2014 has been redecorated, very clean and welcoming , great beers good staff, has lot to offer like live music on saturdays or disco music from 60s 70s 80s making this is the venue for locals to be , it open 7 days monday to sunday, so give it a try as you never know you might be pleasantly surprised. britwellad - 15 Feb 2014 11:40 |
| Had a pint in here after a visit to the Old Five Bells. Only Courage Best on offer and two old gents in the place so absolutely no atmosphere at all. Sat in the 'garden' (which is a few garden benches in the car park at the back) and had our pints whilst waiting for our respective partners to finish their shopping expedition. To say that they weren't impressed with the place when they walked through to find us would be an understatement. Don't think that we'll be returning to Burnham to sample any more of their pub offerings in a hurry if this and the Old Five Bells are anything to go by. chunkypetersplat - 7 Aug 2011 18:48 |
| The George has re-opened. Still has 5 real ales on tap, and the pool table is now at the back of the pub. The juke box has gone, which is a shame. Watch out for beer festvals and barbeques. ELP - 6 Jul 2010 08:14 |
| Just heard this pub is closing W/C 25th January. Present Landlord handing Keys back and walikig away. Shame because this Pub had a Bank Holiday Beer Fesival that was well attended.
