| we went to this pub on boxing day. the place was very nice.lovely log fire,staff were very friendly. i had panfry scallops and bacon with salad.scallops was amazing,but bacon was way too salty!! i don't know why? My husband had lamb shank for main. It came with melted plastic rap around the lam...... he told one of the staff,she seemed a bit awkward,but no apology and said <Do you want me to take that back?> My husband removed the plastic stuff, and gave it to her. We waited manager to come over to say something, but no one showed up. I was so dissapointed.I think it's unprofessional. Beer was nice,I was enjoying the experience,but melted plastic spoiled it. | Reports are best from people who actually go into the pub rather than digging up the past. Prices have dropped, food, ale and service remain impeccable. Pub now nominated for CAMRA LocAle scheme due to guest beer policy. Get back in there and see for yourself. forcam - 7 Apr 2010 16:38 |
