A fantastic location to a suprisingly lovely old pub. a gastro food pub tucked into the back of the little village hamlet of Keyston - the thatch coountry gastro pub is finely served with at least three different ales, good service at the bar and plenty of food trade tells me this place is a must for many to go back to from around the area. a lovely experience, good drink and fine quality. i will go back, you should try it. :-) Mcloj - 3 Apr 2013 16:49 |
Have known this pub for 35 years and it has generally maintained high quality of beer, and especially of pub. The latest owners (from ca 2007 onward) have continued to stress the restaurant side and made the Pheasant one of the very best places to eat in Hunts. The pub side is more restricted but still accommodating and with places to sit outside on summer days, this has to be one of the better places locally to sit and watch the world go by. This really cannot be called a pub as it is really a restaurant, that said , the beer is of a high standard and the food is of an exceptional standard.. Crab on Bruschetta as a starter.. one of the best dishes i have ever had.. The main of Hare was fantastic..I'd go out of my way to find this hidden gem in the countryside.. The food quality is of a Michelin standard the waiting is good as well.. A fine choice of wines and Port..I'm not a family member..this is just a restaurant..or pub.. that has been turning out excellent food for years.. Ziggles - 22 Apr 2008 21:21 |
