| Nice canal side pub (shame its Banks's) with 3 cask ales on, Banks's Bitter, Mild and a Marston's seasonal brew Royal Ryder... why oh why don't Banks's tied houses allow at least one local guest ale to be served in their pubs rather than there own brews or ones from their closely tied list? However, (rant over) the Royal Ryder was very pleasant and to drink it on the patio right on the side of the canal lock in the late evening sunshine made it even better. | Under new management.Good lunch of local faggots here recently. Service creaked a bit (sunny Saturday) but friendly enough. Great setting by the lock. Bit choice not great but 2/3 cask conditioned on and well kept. Richard49 - 13 Oct 2008 21:47 |
