What has happened to this pub. Was closed in 2013 for health and safety reasons, too horrid to describe and then only allowed to re-open if they were inspected on a monthly basis. Gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried it the other night. It was 10:20pm and told the bar was shutting so get lost. Am I a drunken 18 year old snotty kid, no a highly respectable 60 year old man. If he treats all his customers like that then I'm afraid he won't have them for long. Do yourself a favour and walk 50 yards down the road to the Auctioneer as I will never darken its door again the_wiz - 26 Jul 2014 19:03 |
having juts bought a small hotel in blackpool close to lytham rd, i thought i would try thelocal pubs to see were i recommend to my guests. This is one of those places you either love or hate. Personally i didnt like the place, although the locals who seem to frequent it seem to love it . Defianatley a locals pub, not too welcoming for visitors paddyw - 15 Aug 2009 20:40 |

Pubs in Blackpool are either full of old, drunk hen parties or old, drunk locals. This one falls in the latter category, and the groaning 'cabaret' singer only added to the special atmosphere (special as in needs). Pubgrabber - 31 Jul 2008 20:10 |
Visited on 8 March as Saints were in Blackpool. Just moved up from the Wetherspoons to watch the football on a large screen. No real ale so had to resort to Newcastle Brown. Looked like it was just one main bar area which also contained a pool table. Staff pleasant enough and ok for the hour or so we were there. GuideDogSaint - 16 Mar 2008 22:33 |
