A reasonable walk from the Altstadt but worth the effort as this is the best beer hall in Cologne. Popular with local people. DecanusBHA - 10 Oct 2014 21:50 |
Spent a week in Cologne in Sept. 2003. Found the Kolsh beers in their home city, too delicate, they lack taste and are served in miniscule glasses which means you are forever wanting a refill.Think the idea is that it is always fresh and cold, when it warms up, the style of beer is like something produced by the Co-op horse! Prefer the darker, tastier beers of Dusseldorf. frank - 11 May 2004 20:01 |
It should be mentioned that this is a real "Brauhaus" - they make their own beer, "Paeffgen Koelsch" in the back part of the building. Beer is always fresh from the barrel. Juergen Nieveler - [email protected] - 8 Jul 2003 13:02 |
