Had a lovely meal recently, well yesterday. Good beer ; Black Sheep. Super Pork Belly . Great service. Re comment of landlord, we thought last time he seemed odd and i definately would not return if i had witnessed that behaviour. He was fine when we visited but he does seem to hold court with his cronies at the bar. mineisalandlord - 25 Feb 2012 20:17 |
My family had a meal in The Coach Inn today. We've eaten there before so expected a good meal. We were not disappointed in the food - that was just lovely, even though we had to wait half an hour. It was so good we didn't mind. However, the landlord/owner(?) at one point bawled out a waiter in full view of the restaurant area, and then, when I paid the bill was easily the rudest, most unpleasant person I've ever come across in the hospitality industry. It takes very little to be polite. This guy was shocking. What a shame. I won't be going back. desdemona - 18 Sep 2010 19:17 |
We had a beautiful meal here on the night we were engaged. Friendly, warm welcome and lovely pint of Mordue. Nice to be offered lime or lemon for a gin and tonic too. I highly recommend this pub. mineisalandlord - 1 Mar 2010 11:12 |
We love this pub. The food and beer are good and the owners have furnished it to very high standard. Comfortable armchairs and a superb seperate lounge to watch sport. Relaxed atmosphere allowed us to read the sunday papers with a couple of drinks before enjoying an excellent sunday lunch. Highly recommended. scoreoutoften - 19 Sep 2009 18:17 |
Large, low and immaculate pub in this pleasant village. It's cosy, if a bit chintzy. Welcome was very friendly - typical of the pubs we visited in this area. The food is outstanding - I had Northumberland beef with leek pudding and it was about the best meal I've ever eaten in a pub. Shame we only got to visit the once. Albert_Campion - 29 Feb 2008 14:48 |
