superb pub with nine handpumps all of which were on,the two pints i quaffed from Blakemere and peerless were both very good and only 2.60pint and ham or cheese cobs were spot on and just 1.20,all in all worth a visit 8/10

The public bar is designed in such a way that everyone can sit around in a big circle having a general conversation. The tv music videos are unnecessary but do provide another topic for discourse. Nine ales, a nice mix of local brews and some rather more obscure beers. A great pub that I would hope to visit again soon.

Splendidly traditional unspoilt 1930's brick built pub on a main bus route out of Wolverhampton, which is only a couple of miles away.

Unusually, it's slightly set back from the road, the space in front of the pub seems to be used for parking rather than as an outdoor drinking area.

There's 3 interconnecting bars - the public bar is on the left as you go in and the lounge bar, with some fixed seating and bell pushes, on the right. The third room - the smoke room - is across from the corridor at the back of the pub and is serviced via a hatch. Here, in this corridor, is some memorabilia from the long gone Highgate and Walsall Brewing Co. All 3 rooms are basic and relatively unspoilt.

The Vine is listed in CAMRA's National Inventory of Unspoilt Interiors - "one of Britain's true heritage pubs" - as it proudly announces itself above the lounge bar window.

There's 9 handpumps and, as well as beers from the Black Country Ales Brewery, on my recent afternoon visit, there were beers on from Slaters ( Top Totty ), Art Brew Full Mash and Nelsons ( Powder Monkey ).Of the Black Country beers, both the Pig on the Wall - a dark mild - and the BFG, a pale sweetish bitter, were on good form at 2.40p and 2.30p respectively.

This is yet another West Midlands pub that you should make the effort to get to if you get the opportunity.

Any chance of somebody taking a photo? Read reports with relish. Must visit at least I now what I'm looking for.

A lovely little 1920/30s brick building, set back slightly off the road, that looks a little like it should be on a model railway. The interior has three rooms, a lounge for dining, a bar for beer (has Sky TV) and a smoke room for darts and other games - still looking like it was in the war, with its slightly worn decor.

The place was packed, so went in the smoke room, where, luckily for a misery like me, there was nobody else - what a bonus!
Service was great and the clientele leaning to the over 35s, as Wednesfield has a large number of pubs - though this and the Pyle are the best.

I have been a few times now and the beer choice is excellent. Usual tosh on taps, with three regular Black Country Ales on handpull; Pig on the Wall MILD, BFG and Firelighter. There are also a number of changing guests; yesterday Rymney's Silver Drum, which was lovely, Wem's Golden Honey. which was ok, Salopian's Golden Thread, Moreton's Merry Mount, Worfield's Dabley Ale and the nicest, Goff's Galahad.
