In here just after 1.00pm last Saturday and a bit quiet. A number of screens were showing the Rangers v Celtic game. 3 hand pulls for Young's Bitter, Wells Bombardier and Old Hooky. Had a little chuckle as the Bombardier was on the Doom Bore Pump.. I had a very nicely kept pint of the Old Hooky which cost £3.95. bjbrummiejohn - 3 May 2017 08:15 |
Dropped in during my latest visit to Moreton. The beer range had improved with 2 local beers on tap (from North Cotswold and Goffs) plus the ubiquitous Doom Bar and the quality was OK. The bar is still a kind of public/games bar with a few younger locals playing pool. No hassle but as I've said before - I probably would skip this one at the weekend. mcroyal - 24 Sep 2013 13:50 |
Went in on a Sunday afternoon, seemed to be the meeting place for the village youngsters and a few of the local "characters"... a lot of beer"zombies" in who were obviously at the end of a long weekend! Nothing too bad the ale was reasonable but with a lot better places a short walk away I would not bother with this pub unless you are on a mission to do all the pubs in the village. beershot - 10 Apr 2012 15:37 |
Popped in for a pint but beer was pretty average and I really don't want Cornish or Suffolk beer in Gloucestershire when there are so many local brews available. A few younger locals in and I would agree with the comment that this might not be the place to be on a weekend evening. mcroyal - 27 Jul 2011 10:02 |
Had been looking for ages to find a pub serving food after 2pm mid-week. This one was - so in we came. We only had sandwiches and a steak baguette. Both ok. My pint of Wychert from Vale brewery went down well. It was quiet but I get the feeling from previous reviews that I would not want to visit in the evening. fugglehops - 3 Oct 2010 18:00 |
