I've been to the Thurland Hall only once in 2009 and never forgotten the experience, will visit again, hopefully this year. slewcock - 18 Apr 2014 02:44 |
Had never visited in 'the old days' but was very pleasantly surprised. Large square bar with nice punters. This could be an oasis amongst the normal city centre offerings. Would definitely go back. davidtook - 2 Jan 2012 10:18 |
Totally impressive interior decor, pleasant outdoor drinking area, ale in good condition, service prompt and polite from an Emma Bunton lookalike, prices very reasonable, friendly and cheerful bouncer on the door! What's not to like??? scoobybooze - 15 Aug 2011 08:39 |
For twenty years this was one of the armpits of Nottingham. Magnificent old pub building, really ornate, but gone to rack and ruin and attracting a vile crowd. Now, after a significant refurb, it is nice again. Three real ales and pleasant surroundings to drink them in. twohalves - 28 Jun 2011 22:15 |
