Only reason for visiting this pub is that now it has a link up with a local Japanese restaurant/take-away and you can order their excellent food in the bar area.

But the beer choice (as noted before) is poor, and no cask ales. Don't come here simply for a drink.

This pub is split into two bars with the public bar on the left housing a pool table, dartboard, plasma screen and good sized bar. The right hand side of the pub is much larger with a big projector screen for showing Sky Sports and Setanta located on the wall behind a small raised area that is used for the bands/DJ to set up on during music events. There is also another plasma screen and a pool table located at the rear by the doors that lead to the beer garden.

There is only a selection of generic draught, which is a shame as there are two unused hand pumps in the public bar and another four in the main bar. The barman that served me was very friendly and my Guinness came in at 2.65 a pint. I spotted a menu and the food seemed very cheap (2.99 for a burger and chips), so Im not sure what the quality is like.

This is a good place for watching the football, but Im not sure that I would want to visit any other time.

Bit of a khazi and absolutely no real ale. Large pub a few mins walk from Seven Sisters station. Tottenham is my spiritual home thanks to it's glorious football club but even i'd find it hard to praise this place. Shame really.

Best of a bad bunch round here.

Yes, the beer is poo but that's because no one in the local vicinity wants anything other than some firewater to smash down their faces and take advantage of the late license (and before anyone complains - I have done exactly that). Beer garden is lovely for a summer drink, and service is always with a smile.

It'll never win awards for being an experience but if you enjoy a pub where it's easy to get served, easy to watch football without 6 million people elbowing you or shoving their armpit in your mush, and don't want to feel intimidated by the locals, then here is the place. Just don't expect too much...

...and BTW I preferred the Connaught in it's heyday. Both very similar places....
