Found this pub by accident on the last day of a week in Brackley. What a fantastic gem of a place. I wish I had found it earlier. I could only have 2 pints of superbly kept Spitfire as I was driving but I will certainly call in again the next time I am in the area. Everybody very friendly and welcoming and they let dogs in the bar which is a bonus.

Fantastic little pub. Was here yesterday for a christening party and was extremely impressed. Cracking selection of well kept ale and reasonable prices. Marquee in the garden kept the heat of the blazing sun off and barbeque pits for visitors to bring their own meat to cook in the huge garden are a superb idea. Loads of space for children to run around and play away from the seated area with a little football goal too. An Aunt Sally "pitch" as well was a hit, especially as I'd not played this game for years!! As stated, a grand pub and the staff were all very friendly too.

The little Stratton Arms (just inside the Bucks border) is a total delight. Here newspapers, dictionaries and a warm fire and quiet conversation are always available. This is a thinking, drinking mans pub! There are too many excellent ales to list! A vast garden with a large play area. All this plus the Ouse close to hand. Astonishingly I can't find this gem in the GBG!
