| First stop on day 3 of the Inn Way. Nice pub with Askrigg Ales on (we had a gold). An awful lot of signs telling you what you can and cant do. | Stopped off here on a sunny spring day after a great walk up Gunnerside Gill - recommended if in the area. Sat outside in the sun and enjoyed Black Sheep (Golden Sheep) and York ( First Light) - both in excellent condition; there was ordinary Black Sheep on as well. | A pleasant dales pub in this popular walking area: blazing fires, good looking food, though we haven't eaten here recently, and good beers from the likes of the Masham mafia and Daleside.The place has an encouraging air of eccentricity about it, and much more of a welcome than the Punch Bowl up the road at Low Row. wittenden - 28 Nov 2007 18:47 |
