| The Cross Keys is a lovely old building overlooking the Market Place with its fabulous Market Cross structure. There's clearly been a reduction in the number of ales since the last review over 6 years ago. But 2 of the 3 were fairly original - Black Hole Cosmic II & St Peter's Hoppy T'Ale. | The old landlord has now left so review of 4 Jan 2008 is out of date. There are normally 8 real ales here, good food and very friendly staff. Great building, good atmosphere, occasional live music. It's my local and I just wanted to put the review of 8 Jan 2008 right stevier - 1 Feb 2010 01:56 |
| This was taken over by new owners last April who have completely refitted it - this is now a beautiful pub/restaurant. Evening sadly spoilt by the uncomfortable atmosphere generated when the two proprietors had a heated argument within earshot of the bar and continued to take pot shots at one another thereafter. Not an uncommon occurrence I am lead to believe... Lovely venue, fantastic quality and service, just leave the domestics at home please. anonymous - 4 Jan 2008 13:25 |
