| Drastically improved!--My brother[a renown imbiber]reckons that the beer is better than its ever been.I can't fault his judgement.It's XL'nt.All we need to do is get rid of the smooth-flow rubbish & the lager,then it's reputation will be restored.The pub is back in the 'Good Beer Guide'for 2008............says it all. | After some 'inside information',apparently the pub needs a lot of work done.The cooling system is 'on it's last legs',[which explains the variable beer quality].The work is going to be done[alledgedly]-the sooner the better as the 'regelars'are getting unhappy.One day this week it did'nt open until 12.00.,leaving lots of annoyed people outside.The barmans response was 'so what?'Apparently no-one lives 'on-site' & the place seems to be 'going down the nick'slowly but surely.Deeply sad.
