A very friendly country pub. Adnams is good but Harvey's is missed. The clatter of dominos on a Monday night can distract but on balance the atmosphere is calm and restful. Not recommended for those below forty years old.

Went in here Friday and it was like stepping onto the set of "Emmerdale". Full of farming type married to their sisters and trying to avoid buying a drink while actually owning half of Kent.

Drinks however were excellent (especially the Harveys) and the steaks, cooked by the Zimbabwean landlord Pik, are to die for.

A friendly pub in one of the quietest locations imaginable (in the South East at least). A great place for a relaxing lunchtime pint. Harvey's well kept, nice sandwiches and good chips!

I like this place - a real old fashioned pub, with an interestingly mixed bunch of locals, and a particularly friendly landlord, of some years' standing. When I last visited, I was the only person in the place who wasn't a regular, but I wasn't made to feel in any way unwelcome or out of place - quite the contrary, in fact.
If, like me, you tend to look for an alternative to Harvey's (heresy, I know) the Adnams' was in good nick when I was there.

Extremely friendly small local pub, been visiting this pub for food for around 3 years at least once a month. If you like steaks these are out of this world!!
