2 beers on tap, last time I went in. All you need to know. sleb - 17 Feb 2007 02:16 |
This is not a 'pub' it's a tastless hollow bar frequented by young impressionable, life inexperienced people. It shouldn't be on the website! anonymous - 20 Aug 2006 09:57 |
Great place. Closed daytime recently but opened for england v paraguay game. Chilled, relaxed, friendly place. Used to be good food and drink always top. Bit of a trek but worth it. The foreign manager is so weird but always worth a laugh. Great place gone down a bit lately but still a well-decorated, fun place. anonymous - 14 Jun 2006 11:17 |
Moody staff, a poor range of beers. (i.e. only 2 on tap.) Small. I only ever go in of a Friday afternoon when the place is empty and sit down and relax with a couple of friends in the very pimp upstairs lounge area. So, OK, if you know when to go in. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother. The "over 21" appears not to be terribly stringent, by the way. sleb - 11 Apr 2006 15:58 |
Bar 33 is reminiscent of Sophie ellis Bextor. It has all the right bits in all the right places but, somehow, when they are all put together they just don't work! Take the clientele for example. From a distance they appear to be a cosmopolitan and eclectic mix of people, a far cry from the unbearable infestation of chavs found not so far down the road at Yates's and Edwards. However, closer inspection reveals the customers to be, like the establishment itself, pretentious, soulless and shallow. But this bar used to be an enjoyable and dynamic place to go! Does it's rapid decline in charm coincide with the reign of a (slightly seedy looking) manager? The time scale would back such a theory! But don't take my word for it. For just 5 you can experience this for yourself in a venue the size of a living room with music as poor as I've heard. Enjoy! anonymous - 11 Aug 2005 12:20 |
