Classic large multi-roomed pub behind the town hall. Plenty of ales on and the Acorn Barnsley Bitter went down well. anonymous - 8 Jan 2012 11:10 |
Proper old Leeds boozer with plenty of old charm & charicter. really like this pub & the ale is always of a good standard...Nice for a pint at any time but really enjoy a pre christmas tipple here. Biglad13 - 23 Dec 2011 13:39 |
Wonderful and well kept Victorian interior. Great atmosphere. Fine selection of ales. My only criticism is that I've found it to be a little more expensive compared with other Leeds City Centre pubs when buying like for like. Still well worth a visit though. wooly2708 - 25 Jul 2011 19:07 |
...unless you visit Leeds on Good Friday, in which case it's closed all day. Bah, humbug. Gristy - 26 Apr 2011 14:11 |
Fabulous example of an old Victorian hotel. Leather backed settles in drinking booths. Magnificent glass backing to the bar. Well worth visiting just for the grandeur of the place. Wide range beers from Brains, Brew Dog, Rudgate, Sharps, Wolf, Williams, & York breweries on my visit . And in excellent condition as well. Definitely a must if you visit Leeds. foamy - 25 Mar 2011 11:33 |
