Best Cavery around. menu also very, very good, great ambience, excellant staff, very good stock of beers/wines & spirits. Only Downside, from a personal experience have not enjoyed their themed night of food from differing countries. Call in and you will not leave disappointed.

Yep, we returned to Walhampton Arms a second time and the experience was just as good - and, yes we tried the pudding: delicious!

Don't drive past next time you want a good lunch/dinner. Try it

Walhampon Arms - What a delightful pub. After visiting the Montague Arms for lunch and finding it lacking in atmosphere and over priced, we left and came upon the Walhampton. Having driven past many times, we had not stopped before - what a mistake!

The managment and staff are friendly, great atmosphere, good beer and wine and an extensive menu. We opted for a shared starter of potato skins filled with ham/cheese and served with sour cream followed by the carvery. Very generous meat helpings and the veg tasted good too. Would have liked pudding as they looked delicious but we arrived rather late and by the time we finished our main, they were closing. Hasten to add that they did not rush us and would have happily given us pudding but we felt guilty so drank up and left.

Will certainly go again and would reccommend this pub for all ages. Next visit we'll allow time to taste the puddings!!

The Walhampton Arms - a family food type establishment. Not that thats a bad thing if popping in for a drink. The place is clean, sofa area for lounging in which is nice.
Booze wise, it always has three ales available, usually good ones. Last night a selection of Ringwoods, including 'seventy eight' which I had a pint of.
Never eaten in there but always seems busy. Yet to catch a jazz band who seem to play every so often. Has a little courtyard for sitting in and a family of 'swifts' (birds) who provide entertainment by sitting on a wooden entrance beam. All in all not a bad place.

This used to be known as 'Towles' restaurant. Excellent food - try the carvery !! - again more of a restaurant maybe - place was empty by 10.15 night we were there!!
