Popped in on a late Sunday afternoon after a walk. Disappointed as only 2 cask ales on, Worthington's and a Black Sheep porter. Music was loud boy band dirge and on a very short repeat. Food is good but a tad overpriced. The pub has a very restauranty atmosphere and is more like a hotel bar than country pub. Staff very welcoming. There are better real ale pubs with cheaper pub grub in the area but if you like a posher restaurant atmosphere, this is for you. jamforbrains - 24 Jan 2011 19:26 |
I went to this pub on father's day this year 2010 in a party of 5 people and I must say I was impressed with everything about the place . The food was superb , the prices very resonable for what we had . There was lots of locally sourced food . The decor , manners of the staff everything was wonderful . I will return ...definitely . martianpoolwoman - 18 Aug 2010 11:59 |
The Waltzing Weasel is under new Management, has had a full refurbishment and is proving to be a popular destination for food, drink and accomodation. The ambiance is relaxed and the prices are competative plus the staff can't do enough to help you! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! weenachick - 30 Mar 2010 13:32 |
Nice location and you can get very good food. Sometimes though it feels very cliquey, with local yuppies hogging the bar. Expensive and really a restaurant/hotel. The beer is well kept, but most people drink wine. There are more authentic pubs around the area. alkohole - 15 Mar 2007 13:33 |
