| Despite the friendly and efficient staff, this was a big disappointment. The pub is food focused and the atmosphere is very-much 'chain restaurant'. Cask ales and beers were the usual suspects. | The food at the Copt Oak was just about the worse I have ever had. Out of a party of 7 only one of the dishes of food was acceptable. Two of our party had gammon steaks, which were rock hard, chewy & inedible. The chicken melt being the same. The scampi was cold as were the jacket potatoes � lamb only slightly better but still classed as one of the worse meals the party member had eaten.
