Backstreet Shepherd Neame local. It has a long thin bar area, which opens up to a larger room with a pool table and dart board at the rear. Loud music was being played in that area. Spitfire Gold was the solitary ale. Another disappointment. blue_scrumpy - 13 Jan 2019 20:52 |
Excellent corner local, one the friendliest in town and makes the best of Shepherd Neame beers (somewhat over-rated brewery). Changed hands since I was last in but new landlord seems to have kept and grown the custom. An easy going no-nonsense local that's happy to have dogs provided they are well behaved. Traditional back street pub not far from the main shopping streets/harbour. Comfortable and friendly with a decent pint of Master Brew on offer at a reaonsable (for the area) 2.90. Reccommended for anyone who appreciates a genuine pub atmosphere. edchambers - 13 Aug 2011 21:42 |
A cosy little back street pub. Well kept Master Brew but could do with another ale. Otherwise a nice place to stop for a quiet drink. steedyo - 10 Sep 2009 12:20 |
very quiet for early evening on a saturday, but friendly staff, and reasonably friendly dog! Only the master brew on, more choice of ales would be nice, but overall a good friendly pub for non-locals BrucetheMoose - 6 Sep 2009 21:06 |
