| I discounted the previous reviews as they were so out of date and I'd heard good reports about the food and drink here. I was not disappointed. Food and service was great on a fairly busy Saturday night. Three ales - London Pride, Youngs Bitter, with Red Squirrel Hopfest as the guest ale, which was very good indeed. | I'm a laid back kinda person and not one to complain unless things are really bad. Well, Friday 4th June at the Oatlands Chaser was one of the worse dining experiences of my life. I only wish we gave up waiting like the other couple who after a 90 mins wait left without eating. The food was terrible, the service was terrible. | BAD SERVICE We moved to Weybridge six months ago and this place is a stones throw from our door step. It has to be said the SERVICE is APPALLING. You enter and the staff ignore you at the bar and continue doing their various duties that DO NOT INVOLVE SERVING. I would like to say this is a one off, but alas we have gone back on several occasions and had to leave due to the inept staff. One time we went into the lovely looking restaurant, sat for 20 minutes without one of the MANY STAFF even coming across to ask if we would like a drink. Word to the Management, a successful place runs on your front of house staff, a place survives on word of mouth, your staff continue to let you down. Get staff that actually look like they want to serve, attempt a smile or even acknowledge that thy have customers is a simple thing, but obviously for the Oatlands Chaser they could not care less.
