Still much as Billyfish says. I was very impressed to see three local breweries represented namely Dark Star, Old Dairy, and Three Legs. Food was very good but pricey Steamer1 - 20 May 2015 17:21 |
I strolled on by this place as I thought it was just a restaurant. Turns out there is a bar inside, a proper bar too with a nice little selection of ales - Old Man amongst the more regular Sussex faces. In fact it's quite pubby and welcoming round the back, but it's a hotel at the same time so you can order cocktails too. How spiffy! By contrast the dining room is acres large and sort of 1930s stylee I guess. Really quite nice and tasteful. The food is OK. it's good. It didn't blow me away. If I'd eaten in the pub bit I'd have probably thought it was a nice bit of low brow gastro, as it was dining in a restaurant it was alright. Prices were fine so I am guessing the below is out of date (and the Ladhimself's comments just entertainingly barmy). Billyfish - 20 Feb 2013 16:45 |
I said to him: "Is that your wife in the corner with the stetson on?" He said: "Yes, it is. We're waiting for the divorce papers to come through." "Is she of sound mind and body?" I replied. "Yes," he confirmed. "Good, I'll get me coat." Ladhimself - 7 Sep 2011 15:38 |
