| Oh dear, I visited The Falcon Inn. Why? Because I enjoy reviewing, but every now and then, I enter a pub that makes it a truly miserable experience. Interior was basic, with a kind of mock Tudor set-up. Ripped wallpaper, an ancient TV for god knows what, a fruit machine and an empty space where a dartboard once hung. A couple of stooges were sat at the bar adding to the lifelessness. Again, like in the previous pub visited on this most downbeat of Tuesday afternoons (4th Dec) the barmaid was friendly and actually, my Bombardier (yes, they do an ale. Hooray) tasted okay. That�s not enough though. Whilst I do fear for local pubs up and down our pleasant land, it is hard to justify them being kept open when they are as bad as The Falcon Inn. HTM69 - 9 Dec 2007 11:52 |
| A small run down pub of little interest. This used to serve guests ales in lovely condition, but it has gone to seed. It's rather tatty and in need of refurbishment - either that or closing down. One cask ale - Bombardier. Not pulled through - tasted of vinegar. SilkTork - 19 Jan 2007 00:55 |
