This pub is currently closed and boarded up. We did try the nearby Bakery and Prince Leopold. The latter is just about the only pub on Rice Lane with a real ale (Cumberland Ale). blue_scrumpy - 29 Dec 2014 23:03 |

The "Sod House" as it is known by both regular drinkers and royals alike (named by a King according to local legend) is a decent "Local" Pub which offers most lagers and bitters for a most competitive price. The service is always friendly, and after being taken over 12 Months ago, the local "rif-raf" have been banished to other pubs, leaving a happy, boyant atmosphere especially on a Friday night. Weekends see Live Music ranging from Folk, Vegas "Rat Pack", Rock and even Soul! Open from 12pm - 12pm most days, the "Sod House" is worth a visit. anonymous - 5 Dec 2006 06:52 |
