The Yew Tree is set about a mile on the Salisbury side of Warminster town centre. And it's worth the trip. Now a Marstons pub with three real ales on. Marstons have a wide selection of beers available to their pubs - it's not all Pedigree!! All are kept in good condition and well served. This is a relatively quiet pub - until the weekend. Live acoustic music features heavily with regular live bands on a Saturday and an open "jam session" on Sunday afternoon. Opening times are 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and midday Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The pub is welcoming, has a great atmosphere and is worth a look. westbeery - 7 Aug 2012 10:42 |
Just reopened after a refurbishment, not doing food but that's imminent, so we thought we'd have a look. Young couple running it were really welcoming and obviously giving it 100%. There's some nice Thatchers ciders (Cheddar Valley and Gold), but not much choice of bitter yet. Landlord said that was coming soon. Friendly locals too, got a friendly goodbye from the people round the bar when we left, not bad for a first visit. Johnnytheboy - 23 Jan 2011 15:47 |

My mum used to run the yew tree pub in Warminster it was great then Friday nights we had a meat raffle and it was packed, Sundays was free pool, we had crib, darts and pool teams as well as cricket teams and football coming in on Sunday for bar snacks, We had the garden landscaped for children with climbing frames and swings also goal posts Children was welcome always with open arms but there was not one day when the pub was empty Now she has left and someone else has taken it over the pub is empty! I would just like to hear from anyone that has been there whilst Peggy had it! natasha - 29 Jan 2004 11:44 |
Brilliant, I thought on finding this place. Beers from the Hopback brewery so what a disappointment it was to find that the ales were so badly kept. John - [email protected] - 8 Jun 2003 19:08 |
