my huband and i stumbled upon this little gem we love a curry and a bargain! they do a fab sunday deal on tuesday evenings and sunday afternoons. 7.95 for statrer, main course, side dish and either a rice or naan bread, all from the menu, although there is a 3 surcharge for king prawn dishes. the staff are friendly and attentive. half of the pub is used as a resteraunt, the other half is more of a traditional pub. the beer and bitter on draft is a little limited though.

Still looks like a pub from the outside, but no real ale anymore (and even the keg John Smiths had run out). Had a quick glass of bottled Abbot and headed for the station... PS - The Indian restaurant part is called Lal Akash.

The Lagham is now essentially a Indian restaurant, with a small bar, having said that the restaurant is well worth a visit if your in the area but there are better pubs in the area if you just want a drink.

This is now more an Indian restaurant than pub. Didn't try the food, but the menu looked OK. The Spitfire was in poor condition though.

I visited this pub recently when travelling down to Eastbourne. Apparently it's just been completely renovated with a locals games bar but also has a really lovely lounge and dining area which is completely separate. The food was of a good quality with a snack menu and full 3 course meals available. The hospitality was excellent - very friendly staff and we enjoyed a good pint of Spitfire and a glass of White Zinfandel in the large beer garden. Definitely worth a visit if you are driving up or down the A22.
