Friendly barman, main bar, darts room, smoking area at the rear. No sign of diners and menus just drinkers. On our 2 visits I had Hobsob's Town crier, a good ale. alehippy - 17 Sep 2018 18:29 |
Lovely little pub on a narrow but busy street. It's officially the High Street. But it's by no means the town's main street. There are a number of different drinking/dining areas. As Snarling Mallard says, many seemed to be taken by diners. Apparently they're famous for their pies and they did look fairly large. Hobson's Twisted Spire & Town Crier are the standard ales. The guest was Wye Valley Butty Bach. Another pub where the bar staffs' mathematics skills appear a little challenged. blue_scrumpy - 12 Feb 2018 21:04 |
the beer is good quality (had one of the hobson's brews) but all tables were 'reserved' for diners (be they actual or imaginary). Snarling_Mallard - 31 Mar 2016 22:44 |
More of a restaurant than a pub, the pint of Hobson's Town Crier was quite nice. alehippy - 28 Sep 2015 20:46 |
