| Drank at Y Talbot for the first time at the week-end and it fully lives up to the glowing recommendation contained in the latest CAMRA Good Beer Guide. The Evan Evans Best Bitter was excellent and my friends enjoyed their Double Dragon and Oracle (from Salopian Brewery). I stayed overnight - the rooms are also excellent and breakfast top notch. | Beautiful interior, some real character. Had a number of real ales on when I went, but I didn't think much of them myself - the Double Dragon tasted tinny and the 'Champflower' seemed suspiciously like the landlords homebrew, complete with strange mushroom slither! Quinno - 28 Aug 2006 23:36 |
