Lovely olde wordly interior with massive old fire place. Huge beer garden although a bit of a walk. The only trouble with this pub is that it is in Bow, which must be a contender for the most ugliest depressing village i have ever seen. 7/10 montie49 - 18 Dec 2011 13:30 |
What a great pub. The landlord "James" is a true gentleman!. Very personal service. Food is best in the area and even though it was a non smoking place there is plenty to look at in the garden when smoking. If you are travelling through devon this is one place to defiantly stop at. stimnet - 29 Oct 2006 22:53 |
This pub, for me, is perfect. The Landlord 'James' and his partner 'Louise, who is also the head chef, generate a lovely relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. It's a pub that treats you to great food with a good local cider, beer or wine. The only problem with this pub is that you won't want to leave, alcoholics beware :-). wynney - 25 Oct 2006 14:19 |
Traditonal country village pub (non-smoking throughout)with an open fire and good beer. The food is particularly good and families are welcome. Very friendly atmosphere - doesn't make you feel like you're an 'outsider' if you're just visiting! Sandi Higerty - 18 Aug 2006 14:08 |
