| Had Sunday lunch in this pub this week and have to say it is the best carvery I have ever been to, great value for money. The food was great, a choice of beef, turkey or gammon or all three if you wanted - it filled half the plate soooooooooo generous were the portions!!! There is a very wide choice of vegetables which were well cooked and not at all soggy, you can also choose to have salad with your meat and the salad bar did look very appetising! The menu also has other choices like fish dishes etc.There was lots of choice of dessert, we chose Profiteroles & Apple pie and custard - homemade and very nice. They told us they had been back up and running under new management for about 9 months, the staff were helpful and friendly - we booked but there were some spare tables as it is early in the season.
