Was in there the other night has just reopened under new management, beer only 2.50 all day, with huge beer garden at the rear, a bit quiet, still needs some work but a good stop for lazy few pints, long may it stay open. Pingeyetwo - 11 Jun 2010 19:35 |
The Royal Victoria is a great little pub the staff are the best staff in the town always happy to serve you a great pint, there is a comedy night on the 2nd of march it is award winning MICKY JOHN BULL a great night out come along and join in on the fun. billy08 - 28 Jan 2008 19:47 |
I had one of the worst pints ever served to me in here. The place keeps closing and re-opening but the problem is that McCanns across the road is so much more popular with the locals. Never felt that welcome here and I dont understand why regulars would choose this one over the local legend which is "The Pig" EskimoJoe - 4 Jun 2007 15:30 |
The Royal Vic is now run by a lovely couple Steve and Olga, A Welsh couple who trying their best to please all their custemers, The beer and lagers are all passable and reasonable priced for London, It has two flat screens for Sports, a good selection of music on the dukebox, and a small back beer garden ( which is a sun trap ) with a great barbecue on the odd nights, Over all a very friendly clientele but on occasions can get a bit noisy over football matches, It also has a pool table. Live entertainment on some Fri, Sat nights, If you have not been in since it has reopened I recommend a visit, P.S. It is no longer a Gay Pub :-) Boaby - 1 May 2007 18:01 |
