Went to a party in the function room. Only problem was that all the doors and windows had to remain shut, I assume because of noise. It was quite a warm day so wasn't long before the temperature inside became intolerable. The solution offered by the management was to stop the party for 10-15 mins so the door could be opened to let heat out! Not overly helpful or satisfactory. Wouldn't recommend booking here until such time as some aircon is installed or at least some fans to move the air around. oovavu - 9 May 2011 12:04 |
Nicely furnished, clean but quite clinical, like it's trying to be a wine bar rather than a pub. Very non-busy for a Saturday night, probably understandable given the price of the drinks. This is the sort of place that as "non-locals" the staff and the few customers there sort of stare at you - most unwelcoming and uncomfortable. Enough said, would not visit again thanks. davidfthorn - 25 Apr 2010 10:42 |
Oh Good. I wasn't alone on the confusing bit then.. Is it a bar ?, it is a pub?, is it a club ? Nice pint of pride, but I usually like pubs of a more traditional nature, so not one for me I'm afraid. I'll leave this one for the youngsters.. Gann - 10 May 2009 18:21 |
