Traditional three-roomed, roadside, village pub. Wonderful snug and lounge, with low ceilings, exposed beams and wooden panelling. Unfortunately, no real ale. Only keg Sam Smith's bitter and lagers. The food menu looked impressive initially, but I suspect the kitchen probably hears more 'pings' than a submarine sonar room. One welcoming barmaid, one offhand. A further example of lovely pub, shame about the beer. aleandhearty - 5 Oct 2007 00:05 |
A fantastic Samuel Smith's pub with excellent food. The extremely competitive prices that Sam's offer - i.e. cheap! - make this even more of a winner. If only it was a bit nearer home! Nigel Strachan - 4 Jul 2006 16:50 |
