| We visited The Black Swan on 15th Jan 2011 for lunch. Four adults and three children had excellent food, the staff were extremely acommodating, the beer (Marstons EPL) very pleasant, but the food is undoubtedly the star. | I went with my partner on the spare of the moment. I would however advise to book in advance. The food was well worth the small wait as it is all freshly made on site. No microwave in site. All the food is fresh produce of a high quality. It is well presented and the staff make you feel very welcome. The views over the Derbyshire dales are amazing and they provide a really nice beer garden to enjoy them. This is more a restaurant then a pub with only a small bar but they have ample choice. The prices are what you would expect to pay for a normal pub for reheated food. prices vary from �7-�10 for a main which is very good value for the superb quality. You really do feel like you are in a high class restaurant so its a nice surprise to get such a wonderful experience and not have to foot the bill for it. jo4anne - 25 Jun 2009 10:33 |
