This is pretty much the "middle pub" in addingham. A few of the other drinking establishments aren't listed here. This pub sells 4 ales, one always being tetleys and they usually have Chinook by Goose Eye on as well. The other two are changing. The ale has always been in good form when I've been in and it usually costs Bout 3.20 or around that so not ridiculous pricing. This is one of the main places to visit in addingham, the other pub being the sailor and may be the social club (non members allowed and it's best priced place even if not a member). It's not a big place and one room is dedicated to the pool table, bar staff are always decent enough. There's a limited food menu and it's mostly pies Wezzielad - 31 Dec 2017 11:54 |
I have never set foot in this pub. However, I once parked my car for [what was only going to be 5mins] in the Crown car park -- this was whilst I dropped my boy at the the nursery next door. It was morning and the pub wasn't even open. No sooner had I returned to my car the landlord had trapped me in the car park by placing cones across the entrance. Furthermore he had his [agressive] dogs on show too for some reason - was he trying to scare me?. Would I consider trying this pub? Let me think about this for half a second... Answer= NOT IN A MILLION YEARS. ssmith - 11 Aug 2011 11:18 |
Enjoyed a mighty 'crown jewels' breakfast here on a detour from the Yorkshire Dales walk and post hangover so it was very welcome. It was only 10am on a sunday so we couldn't have any beer but I liked the feel of the place. cookster101 - 29 Sep 2010 16:46 |
Agreed. This is the only real drinkers pub in Addimgham. Well-kept cask ales, a good mix of regulars, genial landlord. It's exactly what it says it is. vicarofdarton - 26 Aug 2009 18:18 |
Only real pub in Addingham - just a drinking outlet with B & B rooms. Traditional and friendly Andrew Wells - 5 Jul 2006 23:17 |
