Popped in last night for a pint-it's certainly unspoilt .No chavs or builders were evident, indeed not many customers. Well kept Courage Best at 3.00,pleasant Irish landlady-we will return when we are in the area huntforbeer - 7 Jul 2011 10:32 |
Never made to feel comfortable in the Beehive. I think if I was over 50 or a builder then it would all be fine but me and the Mrs popped down there a few times as its not that far but were made to feel uncomfortable. Sad really as the pub itself has that traditional pub feel and look to it. Maybe it was just me though and maybe I shoudl give it a go but there are better out there in my view. vanburkson - 16 Aug 2010 14:33 |
A bit moody for my liking in here. Its a decent enough pub not one of these new pubs that have no atmosphere but the staff are hard to break down and I often dont know what mood they will be in when i go in for a beer. Apart from that and the smelly toilets the pubs alright really, i like me best and they keep it well. ronnysdad - 21 Jul 2010 18:17 |
This is a classic back street locals pub but strangers are also made to feel welcome. Not easy to find so check the map. Close to Stains Station. I went there last Saturday lunchtime. There are two bars. 7 hand pumps. 4 in one bar and 3 in the other but only 2 in each bar in use selling Courage Best & Sharps Doombar which was not bad at 2.90 a pint. bjbrummiejohn - 21 Jun 2010 07:50 |
