Has changed names yet again. It's now called the Runway and is apparently food-driven. That was apparent today when it was actually closed. Presumably there's no call for food on New Year's Day. No chance of a beer here. So downgrading my score again.

Visited this pub on the 2/3/10 in the evening. Although quiet only 6 people in at the time what a lovely pub. Very nicely furnished real modern look bar clean a beautiful conservatory and nice gardens including childs play area. Toilets were a let down but easily rectified bit of decor

This pub looks quite large from the outside, but is much smaller inside. Modern furniture and fittings do nothing to create any kind of atmosphere. One handpull but no real ales.

This pub once appeared in FHM as a rough estate pub under the previous moniker of The Grand Union.

This pub was formally known as The Grand Union, prior to it's recent refurbishment. Although it did need refurbishing, I preferred the old warm atmosphere rather than the new "hotel foyer" look. I am very pleased that the live music continues and the real ale, London Pride and Green King IPA, are very well kept. The restaurant side of the pub has been extended and I look forward to another visit, to see if the fine food is still as good as it was.
