user reviews of the Royal Oak, Marlow

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

We came here on a Wednesday lunchtime, and had a wonderful meal. I had scallops as a starter, which were perfecty cooked, lamb for a main course and shared two puddings with my daughter, both of which were extremely good.

The food was delicious, the service good, and the beer was great too. I cannot understand why this place has such a low rating when the visible comments all praise the place.

It's a beautiful area, lovely old building, fantastic food.

Went here on a Friday lunchtime. Though extremely busy the service, food and beer (Timothy Taylor Landlord) were all excellent. Will definitely go back!

What a wonderful place, nice service shame about the food, over-priced, not really what you would call great but not too bad.

Nice choice of beers and fun people around, they also have sister pubs, which are the sound of it very good indeed.

Beautiful, warm-hearted, generous pub/restaurant. Excellent food, decent beer and outstanding staff in a lovely building with large garden area and petanque piste. Simply lovely
