user reviews of the Spaniard, Belfast

Small friendly bar which is typically Irish in its culture, if that doesnt contradict the Spanish theme. Impressive range of spirits and the tapas looked popular. I suspect the Spaniard in question is Salvador Dali as Im sure it is he on the pub sign. Millay - 6 Jul 2008 09:40 |
Smashing place - spent a very ahppy evening in here on a recent visit to Belfast. Tiny place and can get crowded but excellent Guinness, great decor and decent music at a volume which doesn't drown out talking. Loved it, well worth a visit atsoutar - 8 Dec 2006 14:05 |
In a quiet street near the Albert Clock, and a little off the beaten track. Small, but atmospheric and friendly bar, with snug at back, and people-watching area at front. There is a slight nod to things Spanish (tapas in the evening and sombreros hanging from the ceiling....), but it is otherwise traditional. Good food, Stella and Hoegaarden on tap, with superb keg Guinness (of course!). No ales unfortunately, although very good selection of wines. Regis - 22 May 2006 21:30 |
