Cracking little place! Good ale, and a big bowl of pork pie slices shared around. It has the feel of being the owner's living room, particularly as it's customary to help yourself when he's on the piano! smudgepuss - 3 Oct 2010 18:09 |
Not many pubs like this left genuine old-fashioned country boozers in out-of-the-way places. Beers always good but limited to Landlord, Black Sheep and A. Guest. Fine landlord and pleasant locals. Richardhuddleston - 27 Sep 2010 11:08 |
If you like juke boxes, Sky, bandits, electric beers (lager aside) DON'T COME. If you like tradional beers in an atmosphere that hasn't changed for decades, enjoy listening/telling of tales of yesteryear, come and enjoy a laugh with Frank and his friends. But don't come in your droves, it's only a small pub! peater156 - 7 Sep 2007 00:38 |
Small 2 roomed rural boozer; completely no smoking. 3 real ales - Black Sheep, Landlord and a guest (from Copper dragon on my visit) in great condition. Very friendly and welcoming - not a pub for sitting in a corner and ignoring everybody else! oftenscore6 - 4 May 2006 11:13 |
