Excellent Food, Beer and Service!!!

We have been to this pub on a regular basis since it was taken over more than 12 months ago and cannot recommend it highly enough. We have dined with our children during the day and also with friends in the evening and have enjoyed every visit. The food is of excellent value and quality (home cooked) with plenty to choose from and the staff are very friendly.

Lovely-looking building on the Nantwich-Wrexham main road. The thatch is spectacular and the interior retains character despite modernisation, in the form of beams and the works. One long room stretches back and there is a beer garden. Primarily a dining pub, the food is very good and service excellent, maybe they have new staff? The two beers that were on offer, Cheshire Cat and Landlord, were very well kept. Wouldn't hesiate to recommend to anybody looking for a good meal and good beer.

We found this by accident when it was closed and returned to check it out. We weren't disappointed. It was a friendly and inviting place inside, lots of nooks and crannies, old beams as you would expect. My partner sampled the bitter and said it was beautiful. We will be returning here for a meal at some future date and we are both looking forward to it. The atmosphere was excellent.

Popped in for a drink at the end of a walk. Two real ales on offer when we were there. Decent pint, great building, well-kept garden (shame it's next to a main road), so no complaints - however, we didn't sample the food so can't comment on that score. Has a large car park (with overflow).
