user reviews of the Bridge Inn, Llanfoist

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Our first pub of the day on Sunday was the Bridge Inn. It's situated next to a bridge over the River Usk, where there is a weir. Plenty of bench-type seating outdoors at the rear and overlooking the river was quite a welcome sight on a warm autumn day. The ale range was mostly local - Twt Lol Horny Goat Ale, Tudor Skirrid Welsh Bitter, Hancocks HB & Glamorgan Jemima's Pitchfork. Cider was Rosie's Pig. The car park at the side is very small and street parking is limited. A decent pub.

I am sure the initial ratings of this pub were previous to the current landlords.
Lovely welcoming pub with good range of real ales.
Worth a visit with beer garden with amazing views right next to the river Usk and surrounded by the hills of Abergavenny.

Popped in here late on Saturday for a decent pint of Reverend James. It was so quiet they were cleaning the toilets ready for the next day and had the tables all marked out as reserved. This added to the rather unwelcoming aura.

This pub enjoys a beer garden overlooking the river. Food is served all day including an All Day Breakfast, Daily Specials which often includes the locals favourite Faggots & Peas. Me - I had trout which was excellent together with Specled Hen - just one of the real ales on offer. Yes I will be back.
